Privacy Policy — Knoqq Professional App
Last Updated: June 16, 2026
Knoqq (“Knoqq”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) operates the Knoqq professional mobile application (the “App”), related professional onboarding pages, and professional-facing features (together, the “Services”).
This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and share personal data when you use the professional App or Services as an independent service professional. It is written for the Knoqq professional app. It does not cover the separate Knoqq customer app, which has its own separate privacy policy.
This Policy should be read together with the Professional Services Agreement. By using the App or Services, you confirm that you have read and understood this Privacy Policy.

- Route, travel, and location-trail data associated with assigned bookings
- Map pin coordinates and address details relevant to assigned bookings
The professional App may collect your location while you are online or performing a booking, including in the background where you have granted the relevant permission, so that we can dispatch bookings, share arrival estimates with customers, and support safety. (h) Data Stored on Your Device
The App may store login tokens, professional ID, onboarding/verification status, cached profile data, and assigned-booking details on your device to keep you logged in and make the App faster. This local data is cleared or updated when you sign out or delete your account, subject to technical limitations of the device operating system.
3. How We Collect Your Data

- From verification partners and authorities that confirm your identity, documents, and background where permitted by law
- From service providers such as payout, map/location, analytics, crash-reporting, OTP/SMS, and infrastructure providers

5. Legal Basis and Consent
We process your personal data based on your consent given during onboarding and use of the App, and on legitimate and lawful uses permitted under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, such as performing the Services, processing payouts, complying with legal and tax obligations, preventing fraud, and protecting safety.
You may withdraw consent for processing that is based on consent. Because verification, location, payout, and booking data are essential to operating as a professional, withdrawing certain consents may mean you can no longer receive or perform bookings or use the Services.
6. Data Sharing and Service Providers
We share personal data only where needed to provide the Services, operate the App, comply with law, protect users, or process your requests.
(a) Customers
When a booking is assigned, we may share your name, professional photo, phone number or a masked contact channel, ratings, and live location or arrival estimate with the customer so they can identify you and receive the service.
(b) Verification Partners
We may share onboarding and identity data with authorized verification partners and relevant authorities to verify your identity, documents, address, and background where permitted by law.
(c) Payout, Banking, and Tax Providers
We use payment and payout providers to transfer your earnings and to meet tax and compliance obligations. These providers may receive your bank/UPI details, payout amounts, and related identifiers.
(d) Maps, Location, and Navigation Providers
We use map and location providers to support dispatch, navigation, and arrival estimates. These providers may process location coordinates, route data, and device/app technical information.
(e) Push Notifications and Messaging
We use Firebase Cloud Messaging, Apple Push Notification service, and messaging tools to send transactional and service notifications, including OTP/login, booking, payout, safety, support, and account messages. You can turn off push notifications in your device settings, but important service messages may still be sent through SMS, phone, email, WhatsApp, or in-app channels where permitted by law.
(f) Analytics and Crash Reporting
| Provider | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Amplitude | Product analytics, app usage events, and experience measurement |
| Google Firebase Crashlytics | Crash reports, non-fatal error reports, and diagnostics |
| Google Firebase Analytics | App analytics, session measurement, and usage diagnostics where enabled |
| MoEngage | Notifications, in-app messaging, and engagement measurement where enabled |
Analytics and diagnostics data may be linked to your professional account ID or analytics identifier so we can understand usage, debug issues, and improve the Services.
(g) Backend, Authentication, OTP, and Infrastructure Providers
We use backend, authentication, database, hosting, SMS/OTP, monitoring, and cloud infrastructure providers to operate the Services securely. These providers process data only as needed to provide services to Knoqq.
(h) Legal, Safety, and Business Requirements
We may disclose data if required by law, court order, government authority, fraud investigation, security incident response, or user-safety need, or to protect the rights, property, and safety of Knoqq, customers, professionals, or the public.
If Knoqq is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, restructuring, or sale of assets, data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate confidentiality and legal safeguards.
7. Location Data
The professional App uses location data to dispatch bookings, provide navigation, share arrival estimates with customers, and support safety. The App may collect location while you are online or on an active booking, including in the background where you have granted the relevant permission.
You can stop location collection by going offline or revoking location permission in your device settings. If you do, you may not be able to receive or perform bookings, and some features may not work. We do not use professional location for third-party advertising.
8. Data Retention and Account Deletion
We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, safety, dispute-resolution, or regulatory reasons.
General retention approach:
- Account and profile data: kept while your account is active, then deleted or anonymized after account deletion unless retention is legally required
- Verification and background-check data: retained as needed for safety, compliance, and dispute resolution, and as required by law
- Payout, tax, earnings, and financial records: retained as required for accounting, tax, and legal compliance, which may be longer than your account is active
- Booking, location-trail, and performance records: retained as needed for operations, safety, dispute resolution, and legal compliance
- Push notification tokens and device records: kept while your account is active or needed to deliver notifications, then deleted, replaced, or made inactive
- Support and complaint records: retained as needed to resolve issues and comply with law
- Crash, diagnostics, and analytics records: retained according to our internal retention settings and the applicable provider’s retention policies
To request account deletion, use the deletion option in the App or email founder@knoqq.com. We may verify your registered phone number by OTP before processing the request. If you have pending bookings, unresolved payouts, disputes, or other legal or operational obligations, deletion may be delayed until those are resolved. Historical operational, financial, and verification records may be retained in anonymized or legally required form.
9. Data Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards to protect personal data, including HTTPS for network communication, authenticated API access, restricted access to production systems, and secure handling of payout flows through providers.
The App stores certain data locally on your device, such as login tokens and cached data. You are responsible for keeping your device secure and should never share your OTP with anyone.
No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete data
- Delete your account and personal data
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Nominate another individual to exercise your rights in case of death or incapacity
- Revoke device permissions, such as location or notification permission, through your device settings
- Raise a privacy complaint or grievance
To exercise these rights, email founder@knoqq.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
11. App Store Privacy Information
The App Store may show a summary of the App’s privacy practices based on the platform’s categories, which may not include every detail in this Policy. Based on current professional App functionality, categories that may apply include contact information, precise location, user identifiers, financial information, background-verification data, product interaction, diagnostics, and customer support data.
If App functionality or integrated SDKs change, we will update our App Store privacy information and this Policy as needed.
12. Grievance Officer
For privacy complaints or concerns, contact our Grievance Officer:
Name: Harshit Singhal
